Organization
The Government Service for Land and Water Management (DLG) is an agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV).
Together with other governmental authorities such as provinces and municipalities, this Ministry develops the policy for the rural areas and urban peripheries, and DLG implement that policy. The provinces are our most important client.
Each province, as well as each region and each individual project, has its own issues and challenges in area development and management. DLG is always looking for cooperation and solutions to match the needs, administrative and otherwise, and the characteristics of the area.
We translate abstract policy into performance in concrete projects of all kinds, whether for recreation, nature, water or agriculture. There are many possible approaches: area use planning, acquiring and transferring land, bundling cash flows, process management and making risk-bearing investments in rural areas.
