The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food organised an international seminar on Setting Food Safety Standards in The Hague, 9 to 12 June, 2008 in cooperation with the Dutch Ministries of Health, Welfare and Sport, and Foreign Affairs/Development Co-operation, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The conclusions and recommendations of the Seminar will be submitted to the FAOCouncil, the WHOExecutive Board, the Codex Committee on General Principles, and the SPSCommittee of the WTO .

The final report of the international seminar is now available on this website. After reflection, it has been decided to carry out no editing and no finetuning; only typing errors have been corrected. The document thus contains the text as it has been discussed and accepted by the participants at the end of the seminar on June 12th 2008.

Después de haber reflexionado al respecto hemos decidido no llevar a cabo su edición, ni hacer ningún ajuste; únicamente se han corregido los errores de mecanografía. Los documentos, entonces, contienen el texto tal y como fue discutido y aceptado por los participantes al finalizar el seminario el 12 de junio de 2008.
